1:00 Huntingdon 1m 7f 171y Cl 4 NH Guide Daphne Du Clos
Second favourite for the mares novices at the Festival, Mr Henderson reported last October, “She won a Listed bumper impressively and we fancied her for the Cheltenham Bumper. Unfortunately, she got an injury, which ruled her out of last season as well. She’s had a good year off and jumps beautifully. She could be rather useful”. Scarlet Dragon is clear on FSFs based on his hurdles debut second to Global Citizen. One to watch.
2:30 Doncaster 2m 128y Cl 1 NH Guide Giving Glances
Giving Glances tops FSF from Fabianski and Tazka. Giving Glances has been given a short break and freshened up for this race. The ground is expected to suit and if forgiven her flop at Aintree on soft ground, she should be good enough. Fabianski is likeable and useful She needs to improve and is expected to do so. She too has been targeted at this race. Marginal preference for Giving Glances.

Casablanca Mix just tops FSFs from recent winner Magic Of Light. The latter drops back in trip which may see her vulnerable on this sharp track. Casablanca Mix’s form is below that she achieved last season. A return to this track where she has , and finished a good second, may spark a revival. Happy Diva is a likeable and consistent mare. Second in a similar grade here last February, her FSF has improved enough to suggest she will be thereabouts when it matters. Synopsis bolted up over this trip at Cheltenham. Useful on her day, her trainer reports she is a confidence mare that needs to jump well early in her races. Well behind Magic Of Light last April. Happy Diva would be a narrow selection; seven runners limits each-way bets.
